Can you cure allergy by exposing yourself to the things you are allergic to?

Grandma keep claiming this and I think it sounds dangerous. People die from some allergies.

As an example: If you are allergic to shellfish eat shellfish daily and you will be cured from the allergy.

The only way that really works is when the allergist does it through shots. They start out with a very tiny fraction of the substance such as one part per ten million.

What is the best long term allergy medicine to use if I am allergic to my dog?

I used to have dogs and never had an allergy problem. Five years later when I bought my own puppy I started suffering common allergy symptoms such as runny nose, sneezing, itchy nose/eyes/throat, hives, and nasal congestion. I don’t plan on giving him away, and I also don’t want to have to keep buying over the counter allergy products that aren’t usually covered by insurance. What is the best long term allergy medicine?

You can buy the generic store brands of OTC allergy medicines which are cheaper. I know that sometimes Walgreens puts their own brand of allergy meds on sale for really good prices now and then. Once I purchased a 150 count bottle of Walgreen’s generic Zyrtec (great for pet allergies) for $25.00. So check around for that.

Can an asthma test tell if you have been smoking marijuana?

My dad and many people on his side of the family have asthma. My dad is also a doctor. He said that I should go to get an asthma test. I have to breath into a spirometer and do some other tests. I recently started smoking marijuana. About once every weekend or two. Could this asthma test tell if I have been smoking weed recently. If so, how recently?

idk stop smoking long enough for it to be out of your system maybe put the asthma test of for as long as you can good luck
